A public sector organisation based in Brent is seeking an experienced NEC Developer to join a major transformation programme within its Housing service to support a critical system re-implementation.
This programme will significantly improve services for tenants and leaseholders, enable better cross-departmental collaboration, and deliver a single, joined-up view of customers. You’ll play a key role in modernising systems to enhance reporting, streamline data management, and improve income collection processes.
This is an initial 6-month contract with hybrid working available, the daily rate is up to £550 per day outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and configuration of NEC Housing systems, supporting a full re-implementation
Work directly with Housing stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Provide deep expertise across NEC Housing data structures and database design
Support the integration of ~4,500 leasehold properties into the system
Enable improved KPI reporting, operational insights, and financial processes
Implement automation and support the rollout of customer portal functionality
Reduce duplication by consolidating data across multiple core applications
Deliver knowledge transfer to internal staff to ensure long-term sustainability
About You
We’re looking for a specialist who combines technical expertise with Housing domain knowledge:
Proven experience as an NEC Developer (Housing system essential)
Strong understanding of NEC Housing database architecture and data models
Demonstrable experience working on system implementations or large-scale transformation programmes
Knowledge of housing management processes (rent, service charges, leasehold management)
Experience improving reporting, MI, and KPI frameworks
Ability to engage with non-technical stakeholders and translate requirements effectively
Experience in local government or social housing environments is highly desirable
