Join Blackpool Learning Rooms as an MIS and Business Support Officer for a maternity cover position. This key role is responsible for leading the management and strategic use of data systems, ensuring compliance with funding requirements, and supporting effective decision-making across the organisation.
Day-to-day of the role:
Lead the development and management of Management Information Systems (MIS).
Ensure compliance with local funding rules and Individual Learner Record (ILR) requirements.
Compile, validate, and submit accurate and timely data returns.
Produce and analyse management reports to support service planning, performance monitoring, and strategic decision-making.
Manage and oversee the administration function.
Work closely with Curriculum and Quality Managers to ensure effective use of data.
Monitor data processes and implement improvements where required.
Support compliance with external audits, inspections, and reporting requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience working with MIS systems.
Strong knowledge of ILR specifications and current funding rules.
Experience within the Further Education, Adult Learning, or public sector environment.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data clearly.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Experience managing or supporting administrative functions.
