Marketing and Engagement Assistant

  • Hourly Rate: £16.89 per hour
  • Location: Hybrid / Norwich City Centre
  • Job Type: Part-time, Temporary (until 31st December 2026, with potential extension)
  • Working Hours: 22.5 hours per week (flexible over 3 full days or 5 part days), with overtime available

We are seeking a Marketing and Engagement Assistant to support the Events Manager and team in enhancing the marketing, audience development, and engagement for various events and functions. This role is ideal for someone passionate about creating impactful content and promoting events.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Collaborate with the Events Manager and team to deliver successful events and activities, ensuring excellent service delivery.
  • Work closely with the Communications team to align strategies and enhance event promotions.
  • Create engaging content for social media platforms, newsletters, and the new website.
  • Communicate with visiting event organisers to coordinate copy and print materials, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Liaise with local and national listings organisations to promote the venue to a diverse range of event hirers and managers, as well as to audiences.
  • Collate and provide reports on the performance, contributing to continuous improvement in audience engagement.
  • Organise print materials as required, managing timelines and quality of outputs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Strong ability to create engaging content for various media platforms.
  • Good knowledge of marketing campaigns
  • Events marketing experience desired
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, capable of working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with brand guidelines and the ability to ensure compliance in all communications.
  • Competence in handling social media platforms and content management systems.
  • Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Commitment to high standards of service delivery and customer satisfaction.
