MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

NI Top 100 Business - Urgent Contract - Immediate Start - £55,000 - £60,000

Reed is partnered with a NI Top 100 Business in Belfast, in the appointment of a qualified & experienced Management Accountant for a 6-month fixed term contract.

This role is to support the Finance Director and wider finance team through a period of change.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Produce monthly management accounts and annual financial accounts.
  • Develop budgets and conduct variance analysis.
  • Present financial reports to the management team.
  • Monitor and review current accounting systems, recommending and implementing improved methods.
  • Undertake additional duties as required to support the finance team in continuous improvement efforts.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2 - 4 years post-qualification experience in an accountancy function.
  • Membership of a Professional Accountancy body (ACA, CIMA, ACCA).
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Collaborate on strategies to reduce lock-up and improve working capital. Participate in revenue cycle meetings and planning discussions. Compliance and Process Adherence: Follow firm credit control procedures and policies consistently. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations when handling client information. Adhere to the firm's credit terms and escalation procedures. Identify and report any potential bad debt risks. Required Skills & Qualifications: Previous credit control experience, ideally in a professional service or B2B environment.. Strong understanding of credit control principles and debt-recovery procedures. Ability to learn and navigate practice management systems and CRM tools.
