Location: Grantham or Newark

The Opportunity

We are delighted to present an exciting opportunity for an experienced Independent Financial Adviser to join our established Wealth Management team. Whether you're a newly qualified or an experienced advisor, I'd love to talk to you.

Based in either our Grantham or Newark office, this role offers the chance to deliver high-quality, holistic financial advice to a broad client base while contributing to the continued growth of our financial services offering.

The Role

As an Independent Financial Adviser, you will provide expert guidance across a full spectrum of financial planning areas, including investments, pensions, and inheritance tax planning. You will be responsible for managing and developing your own client relationships, delivering a tailored and comprehensive service that reflects the highest standards of client care.

While primarily office-based in Grantham or Newark, you may occasionally be required to support other offices. As such, flexibility and the ability to travel are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing financial advice and support to existing clients
  • Develop new business by working collaboratively with Partners and Fee Earners
  • Conduct regular reviews of client portfolios in line with agreed service levels
  • Identify client needs and research the market to deliver suitable recommendations
  • Maintain high performance and service delivery standards
  • Accurately manage records using the firm’s case management system
  • Ensure all work is conducted in line with FCA regulations, firm policies, and industry best practice
  • Always act in the best interests of clients
  • Work closely with the Compliance Manager and Money Laundering Reporting Officer
  • Demonstrate flexibility, including working outside standard hours where necessary to meet client needs
  • Promote the firm’s reputation and uphold professional standards at all times

Candidate Profile

Essential Experience & Qualifications

  • Diploma-level qualification in Financial Services
  • Valid Statement of Professional Standing (SPS)
  • Strong technical knowledge of investments, pensions, and inheritance tax planning
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Desirable

  • Degree (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Experience in trust investments
  • Familiarity with case management systems
  • Understanding of data protection and confidentiality requirements
