About the Role
Reed HR are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to provide front-line, practical HR support to managers and employees across a diverse operational business.
This role has a strong focus on employee relations case management, manager coaching, and ensuring consistent and compliant application of HR policies.
You will play a key role in supporting a fair, pragmatic and commercially focused HR service, helping managers navigate complex people matters with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end Employee Relations (ER) casework, from initial triage through to resolution
Provide clear, pragmatic advice to managers on both informal and formal processes
Coach managers on handling performance, absence, conduct and complex people issues
Promote early resolution and reduce escalation of ER matters
Ensure all HR activities comply with employment legislation and internal policies
Maintain accurate and audit-ready case documentation
Support organisational change activities including restructures, redundancies and TUPE
Identify trends and provide insights to improve manager capability and HR practices
About You
Proven experience working at HR Advisor level, with a strong ER case management background
Confident managing investigations, disciplinaries and grievances independently
Experience coaching and influencing managers effectively
Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Discreet, professional and able to handle sensitive information
Please note: This role requires existing advisory-level experience; candidates seeking a step-up from HR Officer level will not be considered.
Additional Requirements
Full UK driving licence is essential
There may be a requirement to travel to other satellite offices as needed to support ER casework
