Temporary HR Advisor – Employee Relations Focus

Location: Trafford (Hybrid Working)
Contract: Temporary – approx. 2 months
Start: IASAP
Hours: 36.25 hours per week | Monday–Friday
Salary: £36,000 equivalent 

We are currently supporting a large, multi‑site organisation with the recruitment of a Temporary HR Advisor to provide short‑term cover while a permanent position is recruited.

This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who is immediately available (or on short notice) and confident managing a high‑volume Employee Relations caseload in a fast‑paced environment.

The Role

  • Acting as a generic HR Advisor, supporting across multiple campuses as required
  • Managing a high caseload of ER and absence cases, including:
    • Sickness absence management
    • Capability processes
    • Advising managers on HR policy and best practice
  • Providing pragmatic, day‑to‑day HR advice to stakeholders
  • Supporting consistency and compliance across ER activity

The main base for the role will be Trafford with occasional travel depending on the ER case location.

Working Pattern

  • 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Usual working hours are between 9:00am-5.00pm finish (some flexibility offered)
  • Onsite initially, moving to hybrid working 1 day WFH a week

About You

  • Proven experience in an HR Advisor or ER-focused role
  • Confident managing a busy, complex ER caseload with minimal supervision
  • Strong knowledge of absence management and capability processes
  • Comfortable working in a multi‑site or matrix environment
  • Available to start within the next couple of weeks
