We are seeking an experienced and motivated Housing Supervising Solicitor to join the growing team of a well established law firm. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed housing lawyer with strong technical ability and supervisory experience to play a key role within a well-established and client-focused practice.
Day-to-day of the role:
Manage a varied caseload of housing matters including possession proceedings, homelessness applications and appeals, disrepair claims, unlawful eviction and harassment, judicial review matters, and injunctions and anti-social behaviour cases.
Provide supervision and support to junior fee earners and caseworkers.
Ensure high-quality client care and maintain strong communication throughout all cases.
Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling complex housing matters confidently.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE in housing law.
Previous supervisory experience or capability to meet Legal Aid Agency supervisor requirements.
Strong advocacy and case management skills.
Excellent communication and client care abilities.
Ability to manage a demanding caseload independently.
Commitment to access to justice and high-quality legal services.
Desirable:
Knowledge and experience of Legal Aid work would be highly advantageous.
Experience working under a Legal Aid contract and compliance with LAA requirements.
Higher Rights of Audience would be beneficial but not essential.
