We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a student with ADHD in a school setting. This full-time role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on students' educational experiences and who can start immediately.
Day-to-day of the role:
Provide tailored 1:1 support to a student with ADHD, focusing on both academic and behavioral needs.
Implement strategies to engage and motivate the student, enhancing their learning outcomes.
Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to adapt learning materials and activities to meet the student's needs.
Monitor and record the student's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
Assist the student in developing organizational skills and coping mechanisms.
Facilitate a supportive and understanding environment to help the student thrive academically and socially.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience working with students with ADHD or other special educational needs.
Understanding of the challenges faced by students with ADHD and effective strategies to address these.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students.
Patience, resilience, and a positive, encouraging attitude.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
