We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join a busy finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone with accounts experience who is either studying AAT or looking to continue their professional development (Level 2 or 3 preferred).
The Role:
You will support the Finance team with a range of administrative and transactional duties, ensuring processes are completed accurately and efficiently. This is a varied role that offers exposure across multiple areas of finance.
Key Responsibilities:
Processing supplier invoices and accurately coding transactions to cost centres
Maintaining utility and council tax records, liaising with providers and local authorities to resolve queries
Assisting with revenue reconciliation and raising sales invoices
Ensuring journey records are completed accurately and reconciling associated data
Supporting the Finance Manager with administrative tasks and ensuring all documentation for client invoicing is correctly collated and stored
Maintaining logistics invoice records in Excel for reporting and reconciliation purposes
Providing timely reports and information to operational teams
Supporting and improving internal processes where possible
Providing general administrative cover and assisting with day-to-day finance duties
About You:
Previous accounts or finance experience is essential
Studying towards AAT (Level 2 or 3) or keen to do so
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
Confident using Excel
Able to work both independently and as part of a team
A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks
