An established and rapidly growing renewable energy specialist is seeking an experienced Solar / EV Engineer to join a highly skilled engineering team delivering high‑quality residential installations across Suffolk. The Role You’ll take a lead role in the installation, testing and commissioning of Solar PV, battery storage systems and EV chargers, primarily on domestic projects, with some general electrical work as required. While there is an element of field service work, your week will typically be focused on single locations, allowing you to work efficiently and deliver installations to the highest standard. Key Responsibilities Install, test and commission Solar PV and Battery Storage systems Install EV charging points and undertake associated electrical works Lead on‑site activity, delegating tasks and supporting junior engineers and apprentices Diagnose electrical faults using specialist testing equipment and resolve effectively Interpret technical drawings, schematics and manufacturer documentation Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used Ensure all works comply fully with health & safety regulations and industry standards What We’re Looking For Fully qualified Electrician / Electrical Engineer with extensive Solar PV and battery storage experience Experience across multiple manufacturers and system types essential Strong understanding of MCS requirements and documentation 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification – essential Confident leader with the ability to oversee work on site Excellent fault‑finding, problem‑solving and attention to detail Comfortable working at height Professional, polite, tidy and customer‑focused Full UK driving licence Points and convictions must be declared Location Work is exclusively within Suffolk Based from a head office near Martlesham No nationwide travel or contracting‑style schedules What You’ll Receive £45,000 – £49,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Company van and fuel card Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week 28 days annual leave Access to company trade accounts Ongoing development, training and future progression opportunities

Lead Maintenance Technician Annual Salary: £58,000 - £64,000 Potential of 15% of salary based on individual and company performance. This role is crucial in ensuring that our facilities are maintained in a safe, efficient manner and comply with all statutory legislation and regulations. Day-to-day of the role: Provide effective Health and Safety supervision during all maintenance tasks by the maintenance team and direct contractors. Supervise a team of Technicians, ensuring they fulfill their job specifications and adopt safe working practices. Manage the Maintenance Management System, ensuring it is promptly and accurately updated. Assist in reporting, planning, scheduling, and implementing maintenance activities, including routine and project-related tasks. Ensure all documentation and certification for installed facilities are compliant with statutory legislative and regulatory requirements. Identify areas for plant improvement and develop project work scopes and schedules. Required Skills & Qualifications: Instrumentation qualification (apprenticeship or NVQ level 3) with a good working knowledge in electrical. 4-5 years of maintenance experience in a supervisory capacity, preferably in the oil/gas production industry or similar. Strong knowledge of mechanical plant, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems. Understanding of DSEAR/ATEX regulations and emergency systems management. Proven ability to work independently or with minimal supervision. IT literacy and strong problem-solving skills. Benefits: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. Pension: 10% Company contribution.
