SEN English Teacher – Permanent Role

Are you a dedicated and compassionate English Teacher with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs? We are currently working with a welcoming and well-supported SEN school in the Sevenoaks area that is seeking a committed SEN English Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a specialist setting, supporting students to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and structured environment.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging and tailored English lessons to students with SEN
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
  • Work closely with support staff, therapists, and senior leadership
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Monitor progress and contribute to individual learning plans

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching English (secondary level preferred)
  • Experience working within SEN settings or supporting students with additional needs (desirable)
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (required)
    • If you do not have one, we can support you with the application process
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
