Employee Relations Transformation Lead
3-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Exclusive to Reed | Coventry.
Are you a true Employee Relations specialist who thrives in fast-paced, high-impact environments?
We’re partnering exclusively with a Coventry based organisation to appoint an experienced ER Transformation Lead on a 3-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a visible, business-critical role where your expertise will directly shape how Employee Relations is delivered going forward.
Why This Role Stands Out
This isn’t a business-as-usual Employee Relations position.
You’ll be brought in as the go-to expert—someone who can quickly take control of complex ER activity, bring clarity to risk, and influence the future direction of ER service delivery.
If you enjoy solving problems, driving improvements, and making a tangible impact in a short timeframe, this role is built for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leading on Complex ER Cases
You’ll act as the escalation point for high-risk and sensitive cases, ensuring consistent, commercially sound, and legally robust outcomes.
Taking Control of ER Delivery
Working closely with an outsourced ER provider, you’ll strengthen governance, improve performance, and implement a more structured and effective approach.
Driving Insight & Clarity
You’ll turn ER data into meaningful insight—identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Shaping the Future Model
A key part of the role will be reviewing the current ER setup and recommending a future approach—whether that’s outsourced, in-house, or a hybrid model.
Making Things Better (Quickly)
You’ll leave a lasting legacy by introducing practical improvements, tools, and guidance that can be embedded long after the contract ends.
What We’re Looking For
This role requires someone who is deeply specialised in Employee Relations—not a generalist.
Extensive in-house ER experience
Proven success managing third-party ER providers
Strong working knowledge of UK employment law
Experience operating as a senior HR/ER lead or HR Business Partner
Ability to step in, assess quickly, and deliver with confidence
Bonus if you have:
Experience in ER transformation or HR service redesign
Exposure to large-scale change (e.g., TUPE, restructuring)
Strong analytical and stakeholder influencing skills
The Bottom Line
3-month fixed-term contract
Immediate impact, high visibility role
Exclusive assignment through Reed
Ideal for a specialist ER professional who enjoys transformation-focused work
If you’re an Employee Relations expert who can bring structure, confidence, and direction in a short space of time—we’d love to speak with you.
In return you can enjoy a very attractive salary and benefits.
