We are seeking a skilled Production Technician with a strong background in electrical or electronics engineering. This role involves the assembly and testing of electronic instrumentation and precision mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant industrial experience and a solid understanding of engineering principles.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Mechanical assembly and installation of electronics.
  • Assembly of electro-optic sensor systems.
  • Prototype and test rig assembly and commissioning.
  • Servicing of customer instruments.
  • General support of development engineers, depending on capabilities.
  • Inspection of delivered components and sub-systems.
  • System testing and recording of acquired data.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Engineering qualification in electrical/electronics engineering.
  • GCSEs in Maths and English, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant industrial experience.
  • Proficient in soldering through-hole and surface mount components to PCBs.
  • Experienced in wiring and cable termination.
  • Competent operation of test equipment and familiar with PCs and application software.
  • Ability to accurately follow work instructions and communicate details of identified problems.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
