The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join a busy, fast-paced operations team at a large-scale processing facility in West Sussex.
This role is key to maintaining plant performance and ensuring maximum availability through a proactive and reactive maintenance approach. Working on a rotating shift pattern, you will play a critical part in delivering safe, efficient engineering operations while driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns efficiently
Diagnose and resolve electrical faults across a range of plant equipment
Work on components including:
Sensors, relays, contactors and control panels
AC/DC motors and motor control centres (MCCs)
PLC systems (fault finding desirable – Siemens S7 preferred)
Support ongoing engineering projects and process improvements
Maintain high standards of health & safety, compliance, and housekeeping
Report all incidents, near misses, and hazards promptly
Interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation
Work with controls and instrumentation systems (e.g. pressure, temperature, flow)
About You
Qualified in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (HNC or equivalent)
Experience within an industrial, manufacturing, or automated environment
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Good understanding of electrical systems, controls, and PLC hardware
Ability to work both independently and as part of a shift team
18th Edition (BS7671) is advantageous but not essential
