My client, a leader within the public sector, is seeking an experienced Data Business Analyst to join their Digital, Data and Technology function, working on a hybrid basis between home and their London office.
This role sits within a business-critical transformation programme, supporting an integrated technology platform that enables end-to-end operational processes and data-driven decision-making.
As a Data Business Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring data is accurate, timely, and strategically valuable. You will work closely with stakeholders and technical teams to improve data quality, translate requirements into actionable change, and support delivery across the full project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Support the identification and clarification of business problems, presenting potential solutions and associated benefits
Produce clear, prioritised functional and non-functional requirements using appropriate analysis techniques
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Act as a key liaison between business and technical teams, including third-party providers
Facilitate workshops and develop ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ business process models
Support data quality improvement initiatives and assess impacts across systems and processes
Manage risks, issues, and requirement changes with appropriate governance and escalation
Support UAT processes, define acceptance criteria, and assist with training where required
Contribute to gap analysis and ensure alignment between requirements and business benefits
Experience
Strong Business Analysis experience across complex project or product environments
Proven experience producing high-quality requirements and supporting delivery across full lifecycles
Experience working in large, complex, multi-disciplinary environments
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across all levels
Experience contributing to data quality improvement and data-driven decision making
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage priorities effectively
Experience in secure or regulated environments (public sector experience desirable)
