Temporary Driver Support Administrator

Location: Stowmarket, Suffolk

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Driver Support Administrator to join a busy building materials supplier based in Stowmarket. This role will provide key support to a small and fast-paced transport planning team during a peak period of demand.

The Role

Working within a transport team of four, you will play a crucial role in supporting daily operations by acting as the first point of contact for drivers. The focus of this position is to manage incoming driver queries efficiently, ensuring that issues are either resolved promptly or escalated appropriately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls from drivers in a professional and timely manner
  • Provide assistance to drivers who may be lost, delayed, or require guidance
  • Take accurate messages and relay information to the transport planning team
  • Support the team during high volumes of incoming calls and operational demand
  • Use initiative to resolve queries or complaints where possible
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with drivers and colleagues
  • Ensure a high level of customer service at all times
