Job Type: Full-time (35-40 hours per week, Monday to Friday)
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
We are seeking a dedicated CQC Registered Manager to lead our care home, which has recently undergone significant improvements. From a rating of 'Needs Improvement', our home has transformed into a steady and well-run organisation. The facility includes a ten-bed residency currently housing eight long-term residents with learning disabilities, and an additional on-site two-bed dwelling with potential to become a Supported Living premises.
Day-to-day of the role:
Oversee the daily operations of the care home, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with CQC regulations.
Lead and manage a team of care professionals, providing training, support, and development to ensure a high level of competence and motivation.
Maintain and improve the quality of care provided to residents, implementing changes and innovations to enhance service delivery.
Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring the financial sustainability of the home.
Engage with residents, families, and external agencies to ensure that the needs and expectations of all stakeholders are met.
Prepare for and manage CQC inspections, ensuring all aspects of the home meet regulatory standards.
Develop and implement policies and procedures that reflect best practice in care management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Registered Manager in a care home setting, or a strong deputy looking to step up.
Excellent knowledge of CQC standards and regulations.
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining strong relationships with residents, staff, and external partners.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and make informed decisions under pressure.
Experience in managing change and improving service quality.
