My client is expanding their conveyancing function and is now seeking a technically strong Conveyancing Specialist with proven experience in Transfer of Equity and Assent transactions.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical side of conveyancing and wants to take ownership of files within a structured, process-driven environment. You’ll be joining a forward-thinking team where efficiency, accuracy, and expertise are highly valued.
The Opportunity
This role is suited to an individual who is confident handling post-completion processes and complex ownership changes without the need for constant supervision. You’ll play a key part in ensuring transactions are completed accurately, compliantly, and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and process TR1 forms and Assents with a high level of accuracy
- Submit and manage SDLT returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements
- Handle Land Registry applications from submission through to completion
- Liaise with mortgage lenders to obtain consent and ensure all conditions are satisfied
- Interpret title documentation and carry out title checks and ownership verification
- Manage a varied caseload of Transfer of Equity and Assent files end-to-end
- Work closely with clients, solicitors, brokers, and third parties to progress cases efficiently
- Maintain clear and proactive communication, providing updates and managing expectations
- Ensure all files are compliant with regulatory and internal standards
- Monitor deadlines, manage priorities, and ensure all cases progress in a timely manner
- Accurately update and maintain case management systems and internal records
About You
- Minimum 2 years’ conveyancing experience (essential)
- Strong working knowledge of Transfer of Equity and Assent transactions
- Confident in dealing with lender requirements and mortgage implications
- Comfortable managing post-completion processes independently
- Excellent attention to detail with a methodical approach to work
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to manage multiple cases and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
- IT literate, with experience using case management systems and Microsoft Office
- A proactive mindset with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
Working Arrangement
- Hybrid model with 2 days per week in the office (Chester, Cheshire)
- Monthly attendance required in Chester for meetings and collaboration
- Applicants must live within a commutable distance - sponsorship is not available
