Contract: Temp to Perm Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday
The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance team on a temp to perm basis, 3 months initially with the potential for the assignment being made permanent.
Key Responsibilities
Posting daily transactions from bank statements
Performing weekly bank reconciliations
Processing weekly supplier payment runs
Reconciling sales and purchase ledgers
Producing weekly sales and orders reports
Processing and posting purchase ledger invoices
Undertaking general office and administrative duties as required
Additional Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide support and cover for the Group Financial Controller, including:
Carrying out any other reasonable duties as requested by management
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will:
Be highly organised with the ability to manage a varied workload effectively
Possess excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team
Be conscientious and capable of prioritising tasks to meet deadlines
Have a logical and methodical approach to problem-solving
Have a minimum of two years' experience within an Accounts Assistant or Assistant Accountant position
Ideally be part-qualified or currently studying towards ACCA, CIMA or AAT qualifications (desirable, not essential)
Be a confident user of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
