Reed Accountancy are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join our well-established client’s finance team, initially on an ongoing temporary basis however it could well become permanent for the right person.
This is a varied, reconciliation-focused position supporting day-to-day finance operations and the preparation for management accounts across the wider department.
Day-to-day of the role:
Reconciliation of various bank accounts, receipts, credit cards and income across multiple companies.
Pay suppliers, raise sales invoices and reconcile accruals and prepayment schedules.
Prepare and process monthly journals.
Managing accounts payable and expenses.
Support credit control, including producing aged debtor reports.
Support with producing the monthly management accounts information for review by the Management Accountant.
Assist with preparing VAT returns.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in finance and reconciliations.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with accounting software like Xero would be highly advantageous.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
This is an office-based role with plenty of free parking on site.
