Reed Finance are delighted to be supporting a well-established, multi-entity organisation is looking to appoint an Accountant into a broad and commercially focused role. This position blends FP&A, cash flow management, and Capex oversight for the main business, alongside full ownership of finance for several smaller entities.
Reporting into the Group Financial Controller. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant seeking variety, ownership, and exposure to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Produce weekly cash flow reporting, budgets, and forecasts, delivering clear variance analysis and supporting strategic decision-making
Prepare monthly board reporting with financial insights and performance analysis
Manage Capex and fixed asset accounting, including maintaining the register, capitalisation, depreciation, and spend vs budget tracking
Complete month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments, lease accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations
Ensure compliance and reporting requirements are met, including VAT returns, audit support, and year-end statutory processes
Take full ownership of accounting for multiple entities, including management accounts, financial reporting, and statutory obligations
Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including invoicing, purchase ledger, bank reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records
Manage intercompany transactions and group reporting, ensuring timely reconciliations and supporting consolidation processes
Candidate
Qualified or part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
Strong experience in cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting
Proven ability to manage multiple entities and full accounting cycles
Solid understanding of VAT and compliance requirements
Strong Excel and analytical skills
Detail-oriented, organised, and able to communicate effectively with stakeholders
