Location: South of Norwich (Hybrid Working Available) Salary: £42,000 – £52,000 per annum + bonus
We are seeking an experienced and driven Account Manager to join a dynamic sales and marketing team within a successful wholesale business based on the outskirts of Norwich.
This role will play a key part in delivering our ambitious growth plans, ensuring continued commercial success through the management and development of both existing customer accounts and new business opportunities.
You will be responsible for maximising revenue, driving profitable growth, and maintaining strong client relationships, while championing excellence across all aspects of the role.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day customer accounts while identifying and developing new business opportunities
Monitor and analyse sales data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
Take ownership of the full sales cycle, from initial engagement through to negotiation and closing
Develop innovative strategies to expand product ranges within existing accounts
Proactively seek and convert new opportunities to drive profitable growth
Prepare forecasts and contribute to monthly budget reporting
Interpret customer briefs and collaborate internally to deliver successful tenders
Lead customer presentations and sales pitches
Negotiate effectively to secure profitable deals
Deliver exceptional, proactive customer service
About You
Strong attention to detail with excellent commercial awareness
Highly organised with effective time management skills
Positive, proactive, and energetic approach
Background in food or FMCG (preferred)
Strong relationship-building and customer service skills
Confident negotiator with the ability to influence
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills
Able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel (data analysis, reporting, forecasting)
