My client is a leading logistics specialist based in Newtownabbey. They are currently seeking an Account Manager (NI) to join their team.
This is a Full-Time, Permanent Position.

Job Role:
You will be responsible for managing a designated portfolio of government customers, including planning and prioritizing sales activity to ensure customer retention, growth and profitability. To maximize sales growth in a specified geographical territory or a group of defined customers, consistent with company strategy and objectives.
Essential Criteria:
At least 2 years relevant experience; OR equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent.
Proven track record in meeting sales targets.
Experience of managing a portfolio of clients to a high standard.
Good knowledge of the DSA and/or parcel industry.
Ability to understand and articulate customer needs and requirements.
Ability to lead face-to-face meetings with contacts at all levels within a customer-base e.g. operational contacts, commercial contacts, business owners.
Strong analytical and numeracy skills, including the ability to analyse data and draw relevant conclusions.
Ability to conduct face to face presentations to customers.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to work as part of a team as well as your own initiative.
Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload.
Full valid UK driving license.
Flexibility for frequent domestic travel and occasional overnight stays in the UK to meet reasonable business demands.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Hold overall responsibility for the performance of a portfolio of customers.
Deliver against the agreed commercial targets (CNR, Volume, Cash).
Serve as the point of contact for all customers within assigned portfolio.
Work with Line Manager to develop account plans, including a contact plan, to deliver agreed targets.
Identify and deliver key development opportunities within assigned account portfolio, through active promotion of core services, to increase volume and CNR.
Cross-sell services to customers within assigned account portfolio to support wider business growth.
Proactively work with key stakeholders (internal/customer) to identify and implement optimisation opportunities within assigned customers, to achieve improved profitability and/or deliver operational efficiencies.
Proactively manage contract renewals, in line with the agreed renewal process. Work with Line Manager to agree appropriate commercial and contractual strategy.
Manage customer pricing in line with business requirements (e.g. Price increase, contract renewals, profitability reviews). Ensure correct information/data is provided for billing purposes and facilitate prompt payment by customers once invoiced.
Ensure contractually agreed account governance (e.g. reporting, business reviews) and service standards are met for individual customers.
Liaise with all necessary internal colleagues to optimise service quality and customer satisfaction.
Escalate non-standard queries to Line Manager/another appropriate manager.
Provide accurate and timely customer forecasts to support budgeting and business planning.
