What you'll study

The Business and Technology module develops your ability to apply International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the conceptual framework in preparing financial statements for both individual entities and groups.

Key topics covered:

  • Financial reporting frameworks: understand and apply conceptual and regulatory frameworks that guide financial reporting practices.

  • IFRS compliance: account for transactions and prepare financial statements for single entities and business combinations in line with IFRS Accounting Standards.

  • Financial analysis: analyse and interpret financial statements to assess organisational performance and financial health.

  • Professional and technical skills: demonstrate employability and technology skills relevant to financial reporting and analysis.

By completing this module, you will focus on interpreting financial and non-financial information, while deepening your understanding of the regulatory environment and standard-setting process.
