How long does the apprenticeship last?

The People Professional apprenticeship is an advanced apprenticeship set at the level of a University Foundation degree.

It lasts approximately 21 months with an additional 3 months for the End Point Assessment.

The programme is split into four main phases which include an induction, core modules, End Point Assessment preparation and the End Point Assessment.

Assessment

How will you be assessed?

Exams:

Module units each have their own computer-based exam. Computer marked assessments results will be received within 48 hours of your assessment. Any assessment that contains human-marked elements can take up to 6 weeks to be returned. Your exams can take place at any AAT Exam Venue, including Reed Business School.

Off-the-job-training:

As a requirement of your apprenticeship being funded, you are required to complete 20% of your working week in off-the-job training. Your hours can be recorded and tracked allowing you to complete this element of your studies. You will also have quarterly progress reviews with a learning coach/assessor to evaluate your progress towards your Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours (KSB’s). These reviews are a 3-way discussion between apprentice, employer, and provider.

What is the End Point Assessment?

The EPA for this apprenticeship will consist of two parts.

Part 1: You will be required to submit a portfolio of work evidence that you have gathered during your apprenticeship. The portfolio is then used to support and will be discussed during a structured interview with an AAT assessor. The interview will last for 60 minutes and will focus on the portfolio you have completed during the on-programme learning element of your apprenticeship. This interview will be conducted remotely via the AAT Smart End Point Assessment (SEPA) platform.

Part 2: An in-tray test overview. The test will be computer based, and last for 105 minutes, this includes 15 minutes at the beginning for the apprentice to review the information provided. The test will be made up of a combination of questions and data evaluations covering the knowledge and skills identified as applicable to the assessment method within the grading criteria.

The End Point Assessment takes place once you have completed all the on-programme requirements of the apprenticeship and have your completed portfolio to enter “Gateway” at 12 months.

Pricing & funding

For levy paying employers, the apprenticeship will be funded through the digital Apprenticeship Service account.
