Our journey and key achievements
Reed Screening embarked on a mission to reform UK hiring, focusing on inclusivity and standardisation. In 2024, we launched the UK's first National Hiring Framework, with toolkits covering 80% of the workforce and downloaded by over 20,000 organisations.
We established the National Hiring Committee (NHC) with the government to tackle barriers and enhance inclusion, leading to policy changes like the new DBS identity policy. Our collaboration with the government included eight sessions in Parliament, resulting in free employer guides on AI in Hiring, Hiring Fraud, and more.
Our best practice guide on AI in Hiring earned us an invitation to the Lords Committee on AI Regulation, influencing the Private Members' Bill on AI in recruitment. Additionally, our work with the Home Office on digital right to work checks led to the development of a "right to work roadmap" to ensure employment access for all.
These efforts culminated in the creation of the UK's Hiring Taskforce in Parliament, focusing on diversity, inclusion, and candidate experience. Reed Screening's initiatives have set new standards in UK hiring, driving policy changes, and improving inclusivity.
