Overview

Reed Business School is an approved ICAEW learning partner, and has been since 1972. This means you can expect to receive high quality tuition and excellent student support, in a comfortable unique setting. Reed Business School is required to meet ICAEW best practice benchmarks relating to the institution and course management, course delivery and student support. We publish all our student pass rates that regularly exceed national first time pass rates across all subjects.

For ICAEW we offer apprenticeships at level 7. Reed Business School is listed on the Government Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers and we are approved to deliver apprenticeship training.

Apprenticeships are split into Gateway Training and End Point Assessment (EPA). All apprentices must complete a minimum of 12 months Gateway Training before they can enter for End Point Assessment.

Entry requirements

This will depend on what your starting point will be. You will need to visit the ICAEW website to find options best for you.

What’s involved

We provide each student with a recommended study route. Students typically start either in September or January. Our study programme is made up of cohorts and most students will remain within the same group throughout their studies. There is also the option of staying at the Business School on a residential basis. This encourages students to support one another whilst both at the Business School and when home studying. Our study route is only a suggestion and students who have exemptions or require a different route can contact our team to discuss an alternative path. For full course details visit our website.

Duration

These courses typically take 3 years or a little more, depending on each student.

Assessment

We are an approved CBE exam centre. All students must register with ICAEW before they start with us. Your 20% off-the-job training will be assessed throughout the programme and will be based on the Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours (SKBs) you develop. You will be assigned your own learning coach who will meet with you four times a year.

An End Point Assessment will need to be submitted you have completed all the on-programme requirements of the apprenticeship and is an assessment of the Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours.
