More comprehensive than the CMI Level 3 Certificate, the Diploma offers learners the opportunity to complete eight units on different management and leadership topics from managing team performance to the principles of business.

The CMI Diploma is globally recognised and highly valued by employers. Successfully completing the course means you are eligible to apply for Foundation Chartered Manager (fCMgr) status, a distinction that will ensure your CV reaches the top of the pile when applying for leadership roles.

Ideal if you want to gain in depth management knowledge to progress your future career, the CMI Level 3 Diploma is achieved after successfully completing eight assignments over a 12-month period.

Not only will you have access to all the learning materials and recorded content on our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) that on demand learners have available to them, but you will also join short, live webinars that can fit around your work commitments, hosted by our CMI tutors.

Attend virtual or face to face workshops when you choose our classroom delivery.  Our workshops allow you to spend time with your peers and work collaboratively under the guidance of a CMI tutor. You will cover the content of each unit studied and will have the opportunity to discuss assessment requirements. 

Face to face workshops can be hosted at a range of locations throughout the UK including our Reed Business School, an iconic manor house nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds. Talk to one of our advisers if you would like to find out more about our classroom-based delivery. 

Virtual workshops are delivered. You will also be supported by 24/7 access to our virtual learning environment together with materials on the CMI Management Direct portal.

Residential CMI courses will be available at the Reed Business School.  A stunning converted 15th century manor house located in the heart of the Cotswolds; Reed Business School is situated in the picturesque village of Little Compton. The unique, relaxed atmosphere allows you to focus solely on your study, away from the hustle and bustle of the city and usual distractions of a working environment.  Our residential offer consists of 2-day teaching blocks with an overnight stay, with a programme tailored to the qualification you are studying.  The number of blocks you will attend will be dependent on the qualification you choose.   

Residential stays will also be supplemented with online learning to further increase your knowledge and understanding of key themes and provide you with ongoing guidance and support for the written assessment.  You will also have access to an expert CMI tutor who will support your studies. What does your pathway to being CMI qualified look like?

Your learning journey for this Level 3 qualification will typically last up to approximately 12 months.

You’ll start by completing the induction programme so you can get to grips with what’s to come.

This will involve:

Accessing the learner community and online resources
Being introduced to your personal adviser
Accessing the resources on the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and ManagementDirect on the CMI website

You will be able to study at your own pace, anywhere anytime, with our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). The pace will be dictated by your chosen method of delivery and personal circumstances.

You will continuously receive outstanding support from our specialist tutors in forums and in one to ones.

Support every step of the way

We will support you with your course, track your progress and work with you every step of the way to achieve success.

Your personal tutor will work with you to agree a plan for your programme. This includes discussing the assessment task and developing a study plan for each unit. Your personal adviser will work with you throughout the programme.

Learning resources will be available on our virtual learning environment and via ManagementDirect on the CMI website. You will find webinar recordings, activities, as well as articles, videos and links to further reading. You can access resources anytime, anywhere on any device – 24/7 access will be available throughout your course.

Participate in our online discussions and learn with and from other Learners as well as from our experts. Use this opportunity to share what you have learnt and reinforce your learning with your CMI community.

Accessible via email or over the phone, the Reed Learning Support Team are always on hand to help with everyday questions around workshops, webinars, resources on the VLE and CMI Membership. 

You will complete a written assessment for each unit and your tutor will provide support and guidance to help you during the process. Where requested, formative feedback and advice will be given to ensure successful completion of the unit.
