Overview

This course is due to start in September 2023

This course is a professional level apprenticeship and a higher-level accounting qualification. Once you have successfully completed this qualification and fulfil the AAT’s work experience requirements, you can apply for AAT full membership and achieve professional AAT (MAAT) status.

This flexible apprenticeship is delivered in partnership with Mindful Education and combines online learning with face-to-face lessons in the classroom.

Reed Business School is listed on the Government Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers and we are approved to deliver apprenticeship training.

Entry requirements

The usual route is by achieving level 3 AAT

There are three core units of study, these modules are:

  • Applied management accounting

  • Drafting and interpreting financial statements

  • Internal accounting systems and controls

You will have a synoptic assessment at the end. There are then two optional modules to choose from:

  • Business tax

  • Personal tax

  • Audit and assurance

  • Cash and financial management

  • Credit and debit management

Approx 12-18 months

An online assessment and a portfolio of evidence.
