Reed was founded in 1960 by James’ father, Sir Alec Reed. In 1992 James joined Reed as a non-executive director after working at the BBC and was appointed as CEO in 1997. Today, Reed is a global recruitment company, with more than 3,000 employees working in 140 locations worldwide.
