As we head dive deeper into FY27, we're continuing our commitment to co-member wellbeing and engagement through new initiatives designed to bring co-members together, strengthen relationships across teams and create opportunities to connect outside of the day-to-day.
One of the latest examples is the launch of our RTS Padel Socials, alongside the introduction of a new RTS Social Committee, two initiatives focused on enhancing the co-member experience and creating even more opportunities for collaboration, wellbeing and community impact.
Bringing Co-Members Together Through Sport
To kick off the new financial year, co-members from across RTS Northampton recently came together for our first RTS Padel Social event at Padel Social House in Brackmills. Just a stones throw away from our Head Office.

Designed to be fun, inclusive and accessible for everyone, regardless of previous experience, the event gave co-members the chance to step away from their desks, try something new and spend time with colleagues they may not typically work alongside.
With coaching available, all equipment provided and a rotating doubles format, participants were able to enjoy a series of short matches while meeting and connecting with different people throughout the evening.
The event attracted 36 co-members and showcased exactly why social activities are so important at Reed Talent Solutions. Beyond the physical wellbeing benefits of getting active, the event created opportunities for colleagues to build new relationships, strengthen existing ones and enjoy quality time together in a relaxed environment.

What I loved most about the evening was seeing co-members who had never played padel before giving it a go and enjoying themselves. It wasn't really about the sport, it was about bringing co-members together, creating new connections and having fun. The feedback has been incredibly positive, and we're excited to see these events continue across RTS

Of course, there was also a playful competitive element. Those feeling particularly confident had the opportunity to test their skills against RTS leader Lee Gudgeon and Reed Global Managing Director Ian Nicholas in the event's tongue-in-cheek "Beat the Boss" challenge. While entirely optional, it proved to be a popular addition and generated plenty of laughter, conversation and friendly rivalry throughout the evening.
Following the success of the Northampton event, plans are already underway to bring similar socials to our co-members in Manchester, Leeds and London over the coming quarters.

Events like our padel and pizza evening are a great example of how we bring people together outside of day-to-day work. They help colleagues build stronger relationships, connect with people they may not usually work with, and have some fun along the way. That sense of community has a real impact on engagement, collaboration, and ultimately the success of our business.

Why Social Connection Matters
At Reed Talent Solutions, we believe that creating opportunities for co-members to connect outside of their immediate teams helps foster a stronger culture, encourages collaboration and positively impacts wellbeing.
Whether through sporting activities, volunteering opportunities, fundraising events or social gatherings, these moments help create a sense of belonging and strengthen the networks that enable people and teams to thrive.
The success of our first padel event demonstrates how valuable these opportunities can be and reinforces our commitment to investing in initiatives that support both personal wellbeing and workplace culture.
Launching the RTS Social Committee
Building on this commitment, we're also launching our RTS Social Committee for FY27.
The committee has been created following feedback from co-members who want to strengthen relationships across teams and increase our impact within the communities where we operate.
Representatives from each RTS office location will work together to help shape the future of social engagement across the business, creating opportunities that bring co-members together while supporting our wider social values agenda.
The committee will play a key role in developing and delivering initiatives that support engagement, wellbeing, culture and community impact across RTS.
Investing in Our People
Together, initiatives like our Padel Socials and the RTS Social Committee reflect Reed Talent Solutions' belief that investing in people means investing in more than just careers.
By creating opportunities for co-members to connect, have fun, support one another and make a difference in their communities, we're continuing to build a culture where people can thrive both professionally and personally.
And if a few co-members happen to beat the boss along the way, that's just an added bonus. 😉
