As Helen Clark, Lead Sponsor of Reed’s Gender Inclusion Group, put it:

Progress doesn’t always come from grand gestures; most of the time, it’s the small, deliberate acts of support that shift someone’s confidence, career, or direction.

That spirit shaped the heart of our 2026 celebrations.

The idea is simple:

If each of us gives something small, we all gain something big. Across Reed, our co-members took that message to heart through acts of gratitude, support, connection, and shared learning — each contributing to a more equal and empowered workplace.

We encouraged co-members to “Give Thanks” by recognising women who have made an impact on them — whether through mentorship, leadership, collaboration, or inspiration.

These expressions of appreciation, shared across teams and networks, help raise visibility, amplify achievements, and create a culture where women’s contributions are recognised and championed.

Give to charity: Proudly partnering with Young Women’s Trust

A key part of Reed’s IWD 2026 programme was supporting Young Women’s Trust, a feminist charity advocating for young women aged 18–30, who are on low or no pay. Their work includes:

  • Free one‑to‑one coaching to build confidence and clarity

  • Expert CV and job‑application feedback to help young women secure better opportunities

  • Empowering workshops and webinars

  • Campaigns for economic justice, fair pay, and stronger employment rights

  • Research amplifying young women’s experiences

  • A supportive, thousands‑strong community

Their mission is clear: to build a fairer future where young women not only access opportunities, but also shape them.

We encouraged everyone at Reed to offer five-to-10 minutes of support - whether through advice, reassurance, or practical guidance. Small moments of mentorship can open up new paths and possibilities.

Connection is one of the simplest and most powerful tools for progress. It is important to us, to continue to strengthen women's networks.

We invited colleagues to introduce two women who could benefit from knowing each other - expanding networks, building confidence, and unlocking opportunities.

From career resources to lived experiences, colleagues shared insight that could help another woman take her next step. These exchanges - often small in effort - can have a long‑lasting impact.

One small give. One shared gain.

Reed’s celebration of International Women’s Day 2026 wasn’t about a single campaign or event. It was about hundreds of meaningful actions - each contributing to a workplace and society where women can thrive. At Reed, we believe gender equality grows through generosity of time, recognition, connection, and shared knowledge. When we give, we all gain.

Let’s keep giving - and keep gaining - not just today, but every day.
