Night Security Officer

We are seeking a Night Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of Woodhouse Lane Car Park, a 24-hour facility. This role is crucial for monitoring and reporting anti-social behaviour during night-time hours, maintaining a secure environment for all users.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Conduct regular patrols of the car park to identify and deter anti-social behaviour.
  • Operate and utilise a body-worn camera where appropriate to ensure accurate recording of all incidents.
  • Monitor activity via the CCTV system to maintain constant surveillance of the area.
  • Report any incidents promptly to the Police and Anti-Social Behaviour Team.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed incident logs to ensure all information is recorded correctly.
  • Oversee and respond to fire safety procedures in the event of an alarm activation, ensuring a swift and safe response.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating reliability and self-motivation.
  • Strong record-keeping and organisational skills to effectively manage incident logs and reports.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to report clearly and liaise confidently with external agencies, including the Police.
  • A confident and professional manner, capable of handling potentially challenging situations calmly.
  • Experience in security or a related field is preferred, with a focus on surveillance and emergency response.
