Reed Finance are partnered with a West-Oxfordshire manufacturing SME to recruit a Management Accountant to cover a period of leave on a part-time basis. The contract is initially until October 2026 however there is the opportunity for this to transition into a permanent appointment.

Overview:

  • Hands-on Management Accountant role
  • Working hours: 3 full days (8am-4:30pm) onsite near Witney
  • Overseeing the UK accounts and reporting, monitoring US accounts and liaising with external advisors where required
  • Working closely with Directors and Operational managers, this role reports into the Ops Director with a dotted line to the MD

Key responsibilities:

  • Monthly management accounts, P&L reporting, variance analysis
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and cashflow monitoring
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Quarterly VAT returns
  • Supporting with year End and external accountants
  • Maintain controls and reporting procedures

About you:

  • Ideally fully-qualified (CIMA preferred) or qualified-by-experience
  • Previous experience within an SME of similar scope (£5-15m turnover) and a fast-paced environment
  • Strong commercial awareness and practical approach
  • Experience managing or overseeing bookkeeping functions
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise effectively within a part-time role

Salary range is £50-60k or £250-300 Umbrella
