Now I would not be so clear cut as you about the “quarrel” MIMO versus OAM

What I think is that MIMO actually leads to the same results as OAM which is essentially Quantum Mechanics

The two approaches (MIMO and OAM) start from very different mathematical aprroaches and assumptions

The thing is that people doing MIMO never get the opportunity to talk with Physicists, the two worlds are separate since many years, but both deal with electromagnetic waves.

The importnat thing to stress is that radio-wireless technology deals with “coherent” EM waves meaning that also the phase of the wave is used (this is true since the birth of radio). The mathematical tools used in Wireless technology (used for coding, equalization and optimization) are very sophisticated and are based on Information Theory (Shannon 1948) now Information Theory is not a part of “actual Physics” scientists “start” to “integrate” it in the field of Quantum Information.

I do not think that “quarrels” knowing who is right or wrong bring something to the debate.

If MIMO and OAM are two ways of describing the same thing ?
